Terms of Service

Last updated: July 18, 2026

By downloading, accessing, or using the QuickCuts mobile applications or website (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. Please read Sections 7–11 carefully — they limit our liability and require you to assume certain risks.

1. What QuickCuts Is — and Is Not

QuickCuts, Inc. ("QuickCuts," the "Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates a technology platform that connects customers seeking barbering services with independent, self-employed barbers. QuickCuts functions solely as a neutral marketplace and dispatch technology — comparable to a listings-and-dispatch service that introduces two parties and facilitates scheduling and payment.

QuickCuts is not a barber shop, barbering business, or provider of barbering services. QuickCuts does not employ barbers, does not perform, supervise, direct, or control barbering services, and is not present when services are rendered. Any barbering services are provided solely by independent barbers, not by QuickCuts. QuickCuts makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee regarding any barber's skill, licensing status, conduct, or the quality, safety, or outcome of any service. QuickCuts is not responsible or liable for the acts, omissions, negligence, misconduct, work quality, or behavior of any barber or customer, each of whom acts independently and on their own behalf and not for or on behalf of QuickCuts.

2. Independent Contractor Relationship

Barbers who use the Platform are independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, or franchise relationship between QuickCuts and any barber or customer. Barbers are not employees, agents, or representatives of QuickCuts and have no authority to bind or act on behalf of QuickCuts.

Barbers alone control the manner, method, and means by which they provide services, including their own hours, pricing, tools, techniques, and clientele. QuickCuts does not withhold taxes, provide employment benefits, workers' compensation, or insurance for barbers. Each barber is solely responsible for their own licensing, insurance, transportation, and compliance with all applicable laws and health and safety regulations.

Tools, equipment, and products. Barbers purchase, supply, maintain, sanitize, and replace all of their own tools, equipment, clippers, trimmers, machines, blades, shears, razors, capes, and hair and grooming products, at their own expense. QuickCuts does not provide, supply, lend, rent, reimburse, or maintain any tools, equipment, machines, or products of any kind, and is not responsible for the condition, safety, sanitation, or performance of any barber's tools or products.

Taxes. Each barber is solely responsible for reporting and paying all of their own federal, state, and local income, self-employment, and other taxes arising from their earnings. QuickCuts does not withhold, collect, or remit any taxes on a barber's behalf, and may report payments made through the Platform to tax authorities as required by law (for example, via IRS Form 1099).

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use QuickCuts. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

4. Barber Representations & Responsibilities

By offering services through the Platform, each barber represents, warrants, and agrees that they:

Respect for the customer's home and workplace — zero tolerance. Because customers may invite barbers into their homes, offices, or private property, each barber agrees that any theft, property damage, harassment, threatening behavior, assault, invasion of privacy, unauthorized recording, or other misconduct against a customer, their household, or their property is strictly prohibited. A barber who violates a customer's trust, home, or workplace will be permanently removed from the Platform, reported to law enforcement, and may be subject to criminal prosecution and civil liability to the fullest extent of the law. Each barber acts solely as an independent contractor on their own behalf; QuickCuts is not a party to, does not authorize, and is not responsible or liable for any such act.

Barbers pay a flat $20/month subscription for Platform access. QuickCuts takes no commission on service earnings. License verification performed by QuickCuts, if any, is a limited administrative check and is not a guarantee, endorsement, or certification of any barber's qualifications, and does not make QuickCuts responsible for a barber's services or conduct.

5. Customer Terms

5A. Allergies, Products & Chemical Sensitivities — Customer Responsibility

Important health & safety notice. Barbers are independent contractors who supply and use their own hair and grooming products. QuickCuts does not select, provide, supply, test, or control the products, chemicals, or ingredients any barber uses, and QuickCuts is not responsible or liable for any allergic reaction, skin or scalp irritation, chemical burn, or other adverse reaction caused by any product a barber uses.

If you have any allergy or sensitivity to products, chemicals, or ingredients that may be used during a service — including but not limited to alcohol, fragrances or scented products, powders, hair dyes or color, gels, pomades, sprays, or other grooming productsyou are solely responsible for telling your barber, clearly and up front before the service begins. If you are unsure whether a product is safe for you, ask the barber what they intend to use and request a patch test, or decline the service. When in doubt, do not proceed.

5B. Service Location & Entry to Your Home or Workplace

You choose where your service takes place — and it is your decision alone. QuickCuts is a technology platform that connects you with independent barbers and dispatches them to a location you choose. QuickCuts does not attend, supervise, monitor, or control any service, is not present when services are performed, and is not responsible or liable for anything that occurs at your chosen location — including any incident, injury, loss, or damage arising from your decision to allow a barber onto your property or into your home or workplace.

You decide whether, and where, to admit a barber. You are never required to allow a barber inside your home. Some customers prefer an entryway or living-room area; others prefer an outdoor space such as a porch, patio, garage, or backyard — which, if the barber does not have a portable power station, should have access to a standard power outlet. If your barber is an "Anywhere" barber (equipped with their own power station), no outlet is needed. The choice of location is entirely and solely yours; QuickCuts does not direct, recommend, or require any particular arrangement, and these examples are provided only for your awareness, not as instructions.

You are responsible for your own safety and for the location you select. You assume all risks associated with the location you choose and with permitting any person onto your property. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless QuickCuts from any claim arising out of your choice of service location or your decision to admit a barber, as further described in Section 7.

6. Payments & Subscriptions

All payments are processed by Stripe. When a customer books, the customer is charged the barber's service price, any applicable booking fee, and a card processing fee that covers Stripe's payment-processing cost. Barbers receive 100% of the service price they set — QuickCuts takes no commission on service earnings.

Barber payouts. Barber earnings are transferred to the barber's connected Stripe account after a job is completed. Because card payments take approximately two (2) business days to settle, funds generally become available to cash out within that period; once available, barbers may cash out to their debit card. Payout timing is ultimately determined by Stripe and the barber's bank, and QuickCuts does not guarantee a specific arrival time.

Customer subscriptions ($9.99/mo) and barber subscriptions ($20/mo) are billed monthly and cancel anytime. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods. Subscription prices may change with 30 days' notice.

6A. Payment Authorization & Capture

When you accept a barber's price, QuickCuts places an authorization hold on your payment method for the full amount. This is not a charge. The funds are reserved by your card issuer but are not transferred to QuickCuts at that time.

Your payment method is actually charged only when the barber marks the job complete. If the booking is cancelled or does not proceed before that point, the authorization is released in full and no charge occurs. Depending on your bank, a released authorization may continue to appear as pending for a short period before it disappears. QuickCuts does not control how quickly your bank releases held funds.

An authorization that is neither captured nor released within five (5) days is automatically released.

6B. Cancellation Policy

Scheduled appointments. You may cancel a scheduled appointment at no cost at any time before the barber starts the job. Because your payment method is only authorized and not charged until the barber begins, a cancellation before that point results in no charge whatsoever.

Once a barber has started. After a barber has begun traveling to you or has started the service, the appointment can no longer be cancelled in the app. If a problem arises at that point, contact QuickCuts support and we will review the circumstances individually.

On-demand bookings. Once you accept a barber's price for an on-demand booking, the booking may not be cancelled in the app. The barber is dispatched to your location immediately upon your acceptance, and their time and travel begin at that moment.

Barber cancellations. A barber may decline or release a scheduled appointment before it begins, in which case QuickCuts will attempt to match you with another available barber, and you are not charged. Barbers are independent contractors and are free to accept or decline any request.

Refunds after service. Refunds after a completed service are not automatic and are issued solely at QuickCuts' discretion, on a case-by-case basis, after review. Dissatisfaction with a haircut is, on its own, a matter between you and the barber who performed it. QuickCuts does not guarantee the quality or outcome of any service.

Future cancellation fees. QuickCuts reserves the right to introduce cancellation fees. Any such fee will be disclosed to you before you confirm a booking, and will never be applied without that prior disclosure.

6C. No-Shows & Access

You are responsible for being present and reachable at the address you provide, and for providing safe and lawful access to that location at the scheduled time. If a barber arrives and cannot reach you, cannot access the location, or you are not present, the barber may mark the job as complete and you may be charged in full.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the address you enter. QuickCuts is not responsible for a barber traveling to an incorrect address you supplied.

6D. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, you agree to contact QuickCuts first so we can review it. Initiating a chargeback with your bank for a service that was delivered may result in suspension or termination of your account. This does not limit any right you have under applicable law to dispute a genuinely unauthorized transaction.

6E. Tips

Tips are entirely voluntary and are paid in addition to the service price. Barbers receive 100% of every tip. QuickCuts takes no portion of tips. Tips are charged separately at the time you give them and are non-refundable.

7. Assumption of Risk & Release

You understand and agree that barbering services involve inherent risks — including but not limited to cuts, nicks, burns from hot tools, skin or scalp irritation, allergic or chemical reactions, unsatisfactory results, and risks associated with receiving in-person services at a location of your choosing. You voluntarily assume all such risks.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release, waive, and discharge QuickCuts and its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, damages, or liabilities arising out of or related to:

QuickCuts does not screen users for criminal history beyond limited license/identity checks and is not responsible for the background, character, or conduct of any user. Any interaction between customers and barbers is solely between those parties.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform and all services facilitated through it are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that any barber's services will meet your expectations. QuickCuts does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any barber is skilled, licensed, suitable, or trustworthy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuickCuts and its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, personal injury, property damage, or emotional distress, arising out of or related to your use of the Platform or any services obtained through it — whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, and even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall QuickCuts's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Platform exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to QuickCuts in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless QuickCuts and its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your services, conduct, acts, or omissions; (c) your violation of these Terms or any law; or (d) your infringement of the rights of any third party. This obligation survives termination of your account.

11. Conduct

Users agree not to:

12. Ratings & Reviews

Ratings and reviews must be honest and based on actual experiences. Fake or malicious reviews are prohibited and may result in account suspension.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, poses a safety risk, or engages in fraudulent activity, at our sole discretion and without notice.

14. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Any dispute between you and QuickCuts arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law. You and QuickCuts waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. Disputes between customers and barbers are solely between those parties, and QuickCuts is not a party to them.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where superseded by applicable federal law.
